I'll be to the point. I have been spinning for decades, but this is among the worst roving I have ever purchased. In its current state out of the package, it is unusable, so I tried putting it through my drum carder. No luck, the fibers feel more like cotton than sheep's wool. I went ahead and tried spinning them, but gave up after about two yards. This is simply not the Corriedale I'm used to. Sadly, I opened all but three of the ones I purchased, so they can't be returned. I intend to try carding them together with some English long wools I have from other sources to see if I can salvage what I bought. These were chosen to be used in a hand woven tapestry I've been commissioned to create, but the experience is going to throw my schedule way off. Not a happy camper.
